This statue is of Simon Bolivar, the liberator of South America from
the Spanish. He lived in Santa Marta for a while.
The Basilica of Santa Marta is the oldest church in South America.
The old part of town is very colofrul and rustic.
The Caribbean by Santa Marta is not as clear, but the water was warm.

Marta is a coastal town in the northern part of Colombia on the
Caribbean Sea and has mountains behind it where coffee is grown too.
The city was the first Spanish city in Colombia, and it is
also famous for housing the liberator of Greater Colombia, Simon
Bolivar.
