Anirban gets to board the Delta Connection Embraer
Regional jet for his flight from San Antonio, Texas (SAT) to Los
Angeles International (LAX) through the Sky Priority Lane before most
of the other passengers. US Military personnel are welcome to
board before First Class, and Anirban feels that is the right thing to
do since these brave men and women sacrafice so much for our freedom so
we can enjoy our lives to the fullest every day! His luggage was
already tagged with priority baggage tags at the dedicated Sky Priority
check in counter too.
Anirban is
settling into first class on a Delta Connection Embraer 175 regional
jet. The first class seats on the smaller regional jet aircraft
are slightly smaller than a larger Boeing or Airbus airplane, but the
seats are pretty comfortable. Pillows and blankets are left on
each seat.
The
dedicated first class flight attendant offers the passengers a
predeparture beverage. Anirban usually drinks Delta's prosecco or
has the attendant make him a mimosa with the prosecco. There is
always a small bottle of Dasani bottled water as well at each first
class seat.
The lunch
service begins with a hot towel service before the dedicated flight
attendant puts a tablecloth on the tray table.
Lunch on
this flight was a grilled chicken salad with capers, new potatoes,
diced egg, green beats, and olives. The chicken was actually
pretty good and not dry. The chocolate chip blondie was
amazing. Delta uses flatware and silverware designed by Italian
designer Alessi.
After
lunch, the dedicated flight attendant asked Anirban if he wanted
another beverage. Anirban ordered a Woodford Reserve Bourbon and
diet Coke. There is usually a beverage holder in all the first
class seats regardless of the type of aircraft.
Anirban
settled in for a nice nap after the meal service with the comfortable
pillow and blanket that was left on each seat. He was tired after
three days of meetings.
Anirban
ordered some sparkling water before landing. What is Anirban
thinking about? Perhaps how the other half live? LOL.
Just Kidding. Anirban is actually a very kind and caring
individual who respects all people and is very grateful for all the
blessings in his life.
