When the Rangers pretty much looked like they secured our place in the 2023 World Series around the 6th inning of the ALCS against the Astros, I immediately logged onto a ticket reseller site to get my ticket for Game 1 of the World Series in Arlington, Texas. I already had airline, hotel, and rental car reservations made just in case we made the World Series. My ticket was like $830, but it was worth it to see my Rangers finish off an unbelievable season under Manager Bruce Bochy and secure our first World Series win ever! I flew to Dallas the morning of Game 1 from Sacramento, and after meeting a friend for lunch at Perry's in Grapevine, I headed to Arlington to check into my hotel.
Before the game, I got a drink and prepartied at Texas Live! with another friend. Then, I went into Globe Life Field, or the "barn" as it is called in Arlington to catch game one of the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks! We had "Nasty Nate" Nathan Eovaldi on the mound for us that day. He had an amazing game! Our all star line up of talent was ready to make sure we won game one! The Rangers started off the scoring in the first inning. The Dbacks eventually took a lead, but we tied in the 9th to send the game into extra innings. LF Adolis Garcia was the hero who hit a walk up HR to secure the Game One victory! Let's Go Rangers! We went on to win the World Series 4 Games to 1 in Arizona! The DFW Metroplex finally has our WORLD SERIES win now to go with our five Superbowl wins, one NBA title, and our Stanley Cup! How bout the DFW Metroplex Sports Teams! I love Texas! Cory Seager was the MVP of the World Series too.
