The Point Reyes Lighthouse just north of San Francisco on the Pacific Coast is a really pretty sight on a beautiful day.  Normally, the fog is heavy in this area so I was fortunate to get this picture.

I am enjoying a ride on Medusa at Six Flags Marine World here with the lovely lady to the left of me around 2001.

I was given a tour of Facebook's Headquarters in Menlo Park by a friend who works there.  It was really cool to check out where the social media giant operates out of.

County Fairs are big in California during the summer months.  This one is the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, CA which is in the Bay Area as well.

San Francisco is known for being a liberal enclave within the United States.  Despite it's political shortcomings, San Francisco does have great restaurants, scenic viewpoints, and beautiful coastline.  San Francisco has lots of fine dining establishments just like Napa.  Some of my favorite spots in the city include Kokkari, Sens, & Jardiniere.  San Francisco has a decent night life as well.  The Cellar is a fun club located near China Town, and it has 80s dancing on Fridays nights usually.  Other sites to check out in San Francisco are Alcatraz Island, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, China Town, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and AT&T Park.  In 2008, I took a bay tour over San Francisco in a Cessna 172.  I even got to fly the plane for a bit too.  We went from Concord's Buchanan Fields to Half Moon Airport.  After having a nice lunch of sandnaps (kind of fish) in Half Moon Bay, we flew back.
