Caye Caulker, Belize

B7
Caye Caulker is another small Belizean island.  It is pretty laid back and undeveloped with no paved roads.  The taxi was a golf cart.

B8
The Lazy Lizard is a famous bar and restaurant at the Split.  The Split is where a hurricane cut the island in two back in the 1960s.  It is a popular hang out spot for Spring Break guests.

The water and beaches are really nice at Caye Caulker.

B10
One can buy coconuts to drink on the island off the main sandy road.

During my trip to Belize, I went to Caye Caulker one day from San Pedro via a thirty minute water taxi.  It is another small island off the coast of Belize.  The island was cut in two by a hurricane in the 1960s.  One side of the island has most of the shops and homes.  The other side is mostly mangroves.  The roads were unpaved, and most people walked or biked.  There were a few golf carts on the island.  It is really chill.
